High School Program of Studies for Lakeville Online Academy

The Program of Studies is the curriculum guide for Lakeville high school students. To find Lakeville Online Programs, please refer to the Lakeville Online Academy button for all the classes offered for the 25/26 School Year. This page includes descriptions of all courses offered in each curricular area. Families and students are encouraged to review this document and all accompanying information to assist in planning an educational program and accounting for a student's completion of credits for graduation. While families and students are primarily responsible for assuring students meet all requirements for graduation, the LOA Program Director and LOA Secondary Coordinator are available to assist, support, and provide guidance in the process.

Things to Consider When Registering for Courses

Students and families should refer to the Credit Check forms on this page to ensure graduation requirements are met with their selections.

The following things should also be considered when selecting courses for the next school year:

  • Post-secondary plans
  • Use career portfolio assessments and MCIS career activities results to help guide course selection to match specific career interests
  • Prerequisites and prior/current courses

Summer Acceleration Course Information

2025 Summer Acceleration Courses:  Physical Education and Health 

  • 8 week course: June 16th - August 8th (No Class Connects sessions) (No Classes June 19th & July 4th)

  • Cost per course: $425 

  • Registration begins March 3rd, 2025 until May 15th, 2025. Space is limited.

    • Virtual Orientation:
      • May 21st - 4pm : Physical Ed - Orientation
      • May 21st - 5pm : Health - Orientation
      • June 9th - 4pm : Physical Ed - Heart Rate Monitor Setup / Orientation
      • June 9th - 5pm : Health - Orientation

The courses are delivered fully online. We do not meet face-to-face. All work is to be completed and submitted by the last day of the course, A pacing guide is provided for students to stay on track to complete the work by the end of the eight weeks. Physical Education will require five 30 minute workouts over five different days each week.

  • There will be a “registration waitlist” in the Campus store if we exceed our first section of a class. 

  • School issued Polar HRM are REQUIRED for the PE course.  Watches are to be Picked and dropped off at Pathways Academy, located at 19455 Kenwood Trail, Door 3. 

     

  • Polar watches are available for pick up starting May 28th.  If you have your own heart rate monitor, let us know, you may be able to use your own device.
